Tennessee university gets NCI funding for molecular-imaging research

The National Cancer Institute has awarded a five-year, $7.5 million grant to the Vanderbilt University Institute of Imaging Science and the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center for a new program dedicated to advancing imaging research in cancer care. The Vanderbilt In Vivo Cellular and Molecular Imaging Center also will focus on developing imaging biomarkers for predicting and measuring patient response to cancer treatments.
