Inching closer to an affordable electric car?


Coda, a Southern California-based startup, says it has found a way to make electric cars more cheaply. Kevin Czinger, the company's CEO, says he has cracked the code to making an affordable battery, a problem that has vexed other makers of electric cars. Still, after a $7,500 federal rebate is taken into account, the car costs about $37,500.
