Low birth weight, early weight gain are linked to early puberty

Children with a low birth weight or who have early rapid weight gain may be at higher risk for early puberty, according to German researchers. They said these children may enter puberty four to seven months earlier than their peers, which could put them at higher risk for cancer, high blood sugar and obesity.
