Marriott's boutique Edition brand set to launch

Marriott expects to introduce its luxury boutique brand Edition in 2010 and has deals on five new properties, said Marriott International CFO Arne Sorenson in an interview. The brand is being developed with boutique concept pioneer Ian Schrager, and the aim is to compete with Starwood's W Hotels chain.
