In Oregon, new support for building bridges

The Oregon county of Yamhill is turning to the geosynthetic reinforced soil method to support its bridges. The method entails using layers of geotextile material, gravel or rock, and cinder blocks as the foundation for bridges. Engineers say the technique helps contractors easily change a bridge and is quicker than using concrete.
