Swing-district Democrats may be tempted to join trade groups

Martin Frost, former chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, says the party needs to court experienced congressmen from swing districts to keep them from taking jobs with trade associations and lobbyists. Frost's list of lawmakers who have joined the private sector includes former California Rep. Cal Dooley, now the president and CEO of the American Chemistry Council.
