U.S. exports continue to show gains

U.S. exports have climbed for the sixth consecutive month, thanks to growing economies overseas and a weaker dollar. The sustained rise, led by industrial machinery, farm products, autos and aircraft, helped lower the trade deficit in October to $32.9 billion and is expected to help boost struggling manufacturers. Caterpillar, for example, is now predicting that heavy demand in Asia will increase its sales next year.
