What's behind "cursed" locations?

Sadie's Kitchen owners Peter Sibilia and Damien Vizuete feel welcomed in the new neighborhood, despite naysayers convinced nothing can succeed in the "cursed" location. Real-estate brokers say the concept of a doomed space is a myth, but others say there's a psychological component -- people subconsciously write off new ventures in spaces where previous eateries have failed.
