Army makes push to dismiss unfit soldiers

The number of active-duty Army soldiers deemed overweight or obese more than tripled between 1998 and 2010, according to the Armed Forces Health Surveillance Center. In recent years, the military has become more cognizant of the problem of obesity and has been making a push to dismiss soldiers who are unfit, officials say.
