High-tech pet gifts gain popularity

High-tech pet-related gifts -- including dog-biscuit makers, treadmills and doghouse air conditioners -- are gaining popularity. Owners can even purchase at-home diagnostic kits to test for illnesses, says Bob Vetere, president of APPA. The technologically savvy pet gift that no animal should be without is the microchip, notes Vetere, because it can be used in many species and reunites lost pets with their owners.
