Implications of Delta's potential deal with Virgin Atlantic

If completed, Delta Air Lines' acquisition of Singapore Airlines' shares in Virgin Atlantic could create tension between Delta and Virgin Atlantic, and American Airlines and British Airways, some say. Both pairs of airlines are dominant on the New York-to-London route. The Delta deal with Virgin Atlantic could push US Airways and American Airlines one step closer to a merger, The Wall Street Journal says.
