Texas wind-power executives voice frustration over PTC uncertainty

Wind-power executives in Texas are concerned about Congress' inaction on the wind-energy Production Tax Credit, which could lapse at the end of the month if it isn't extended. "There are government incentives for coal and gas and nuclear and solar, but not for wind as of the end of this year," said Walter Hornaday, president of Cielo Wind Power. It's "just odd to be in an industry that outperforms everyone else as far as no pollution footprint and creating jobs, but it's the one left out as far as a subsidy in place," Hornaday said.
