AVG gives Android users an app to block Wi-Fi location tracking

Mobile security firm AVG Technologies is offering Android smartphone users a first-of-its-kind free application that blocks Wi-Fi location tracking. The PrivacyFix app previously allowed users to manage privacy across various sites, but the update blocks the phone from transmitting a unique code that's used for location tracking whenever the user isn't connected to a trusted wireless network such as the home or office.
