Groups call for mandatory vaccinations among health care staff

Infectious disease groups say health care employers should require employees get recommended immunizations, including those for measles, mumps and hepatitis B. The groups' statement said that for voluntary vaccination programs that do not achieve at least 90% participation, it supports policies to require "documentation of immunity or receipt of ACIP-recommended vaccinations as a condition of employment, unpaid service, or receipt of professional privileges."
