Using satellites to measure North Korea's economic development

Trying to get an accurate picture of economic conditions in North Korea can be quite difficult. To remedy that problem, researchers at Lund University in Sweden have used a combination of different types of satellite images to learn more about the area and get a more accurate picture of agricultural development. "It looks like the economic power is slowly decentralizing," human geographer Magnus Andersson said.
