Victory for defense hawks seen in sequester deal

Congressional defense hawks scored a victory in the easing of defense sequestration cuts that comes as a result of a compromise reached by House and Senate budget negotiators. House Budget Committee Chairman Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., credited defense boosters for raising strong concerns about how the next round of sequestration cuts may affect the military.
