Wellness company founders critical of ACA incentive rules

Affordable Care Act wellness rules that allow companies to charge workers who are obese more for health insurance may not be fair nor effective for employees, according to David Roddenberry and Jimmy Fleming, co-founders of HealthyWage, a company that provides incentive-based weight-loss programs. They said good wellness incentive programs are voluntary and based on best practices for behavior change, and offer employees peer-based support and motivation.
