Interior Dept. issues new rule easing wildlife guidelines

The Interior Department issued a new rule that allows the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other agencies to proceed on projects without review from wildlife biologists. Prior to the rule, federal projects had to review the impact on wildlife under the Endangered Species Act. Environmental groups filed a lawsuit to halt the government from enacting the new rule.
