Official: Monsanto hopes to market biotech corn in India within 5 years

Monsanto expects to win approvals from regulators in India to enable it to introduce some biotech corn varieties within about five years, said Sekhar Natarajan, head of the company's Indian operations. The biotech firm recently secured clearance from the Indian government to begin field studies of two of its bioengineered corn seeds, Roundup Ready and YieldGard.
