Survey: Fewer than 40% of U.S. physicians use e-records

A survey of 2,000 U.S. physicians found just 38.4% use electronic medical records and only 4% have fully functional systems. The survey by the National Center for Health Statistics found 20.4% of physicians say their system is minimally functional, meaning it can be used to order prescriptions and tests, view lab or imaging results, and store clinical notes.
