Sustainable-landscape task force wants feedback

Landscape contractors are encouraged to weigh in on sustainable-landscape guidelines in a draft report issued by a PLANET task force chaired by Roger Phelps of STIHL and Kurt Bland, CLP, CLT, of Bland Landscaping Co. The report, "Sustainable Sites Initiative Guidelines and Performance Benchmarks," contains more than 50 draft prerequisites for creating sustainable landscapes. While LEED standards cover green buildings, no such standards exist for green landscaping.
