3 D.C. airports will change approaches for fuel efficiency

Three airports near Washington plan to change their approaches to save fuel. The changes will be implemented at Dulles International, Ronald Reagan Washington National and Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall airports. "Instead of trying to build procedures around existing airspace, we build the airspace around the new procedures," said Brian Townsend, captain, flight technical operations, for US Airways.
