AMD: Fusion processors work better in high-performance computing

Neal Robison of Advanced Micro Devices says that his company's Fusion processors are a better fit for applications in high-performance computing than making special-purpose graphics processing unit accelerators fit into CPU sockets. The Fusion accelerated processing unit "is a better and cleaner solution than sticking a GPU in the same socket," he told X-bit labs.
