Apple loosens iAd demands in face of declining share

Apple has backed away from some of its demands on advertisers that participate in its iAd program as more companies turn to Google's AdMob service. An IDC report estimates that Google's share of the mobile-ad market will rise from 19% in 2010 to 24% this year, while Apple will lose 4 percentage points, falling to 15%. Millennial Media will also show gains, the report says, rising from 15% to 17%. Some advertisers have complained of iAd's higher rates and more stringent requirements.
