Thailand has a strong culture of corporate philanthropy, and that's helped the country cope with this year's flooding, writes Mia Overall. Some companies have frozen their advertising and dedicated their marketing to raise money for relief efforts, while others are donating services, gasoline and other resources to help rescue and relief workers. "[C]ompanies in Thailand seem to be doing a great job of matching their core resources to the nation's needs," Overall writes. "May this trend continue well beyond the crisis."
