Report: U.S. restaurants to see modest growth in 2012

Restaurants are likely to see same-store sales growth of between 2% and 3% in the U.S. next year, while facing ongoing inflation of food and beverage prices, according to Fitch Ratings. Price increases for meat are expected to be the highest, with beef and chicken prices poised to rise 9% and 5%, according to the Department of Agriculture.
