Senator introduces bill that would clarify U.S. regulatory environment

Sen. Dan Coats, R-Ind., has proposed a bill that calls on the FDA to include in its mission statement language requiring the agency to create a clear regulatory landscape in the U.S. "The current regulatory environment created by the FDA has forced American companies to eliminate jobs and move operations overseas," Coats said, adding that his bill will promote the development of cutting-edge devices and maintain jobs in the country.
