Tech companies lag in gender diversity

Technology companies are lagging behind their peers in other industries in terms of the percentage of women they employ as directors and executives, according to a study by the University of California, Davis. A number of factors may be to blame, including the fact that such companies tend to look for women who have been chief executives of other technology firms when recruiting board members, said Marilyn Nagel of Watermark.
