Thai Airways plans to launch its first flight powered by biofuel

Thai Airways plans to launch a flight powered by biofuel Dec. 21, which would make the carrier the first one in Asia to fly on biofuel. Piyasvasti Amranand, the president of Thai Airways, said the carrier "has received support from petroleum producers, research firms, educational institutions, aircraft and engine manufacturers, and different government bodies affiliated with the aviation industry to develop bio jet fuel for aviation in Thailand."
