Automotive advertising leads U.S. ad spending to 7% rise

U.S. ad spending showed a 7% year-over-year increase in the third quarter, up from a 2.4% increase in Q2, according to Nielsen. A 26% rise in automotive spending, a 22% increase in auto dealer advertising and a 14% bump in the fast-food category led the trend.
