DISH to explore options after FCC approves cell-network plan

The Federal Communications Commission this past week unanimously approved DISH Network's plan to build a cellular network using its satellite-based wireless spectrum. The FCC order said that DISH must exclude parts of the spectrum to prevent interference, and it also required DISH to build out 70% of its network by 2018. In a statement, DISH said it would study its "strategic options" in considering how to make the spectrum work best for consumers.
