Calif. district adds nutritious breakfast to its menu

A California school district is adding a breakfast program for students with the goal of ensuring all students have enough to eat in the morning. Individual schools will decide whether to offer the meals before school or during a snack break, with typical breakfasts including proteins, grains, fruit and milk. "We know students perform better when they've had nutrition," said Chris Jennison, the district's director of administrative services.
