House of Mandela offers easy-drinking wines ripe with family history

Nelson Mandela's daughter and granddaughter pay homage to the late president with the bee logo on their Royal Reserve vintages from the House of Mandela winery. "The bee is the literal translation of my grandfather’s name, Rolihlahla, which means one who is brave enough to fetch the honey from the honeycomb," said Tukwini Mandela. The logo's branches represent the large family behind the South African wine. "We told our winemaker that he had to make sure the wines reflect who we are as a family" in taste and design, said Mandela, who works on the wines with her mother, Makaziwe Mandela.
