Ontario educators learn to assess students' mental health

School districts across Ontario are training teachers to assist students with mental-health challenges. All school boards have hired a staff member to take the lead in mental-health programs. Districts also are training educators and teaching assistants how to refer students to mental-health services, assess students' emotional states and get them to talk about issues, ranging from suicide to anxiety.
