Jacksonville garage collapse investigation focuses on report

An investigation into the collapse of a parking garage under construction in Jacksonville, Fla., on Dec. 6 is centering on an Oct. 30 report describing cracks in beams and slabs at the site. The collapse, which injured 23 workers and killed one, occurred when A.A. Pittman & Son Concrete Co. Inc. was pouring concrete on the top level of the six-story, post-tensioned concrete garage.
