Port Authority recommends strategies for easing congestion

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey on Wednesday called for fast-tracking "Next Gen" technology and implementing it as soon as possible at New York's airports. The Port authority also supports the creation of a scheduling system that would rationalize how carriers use airport facilities as well as permanently opening military space for commercial carriers during peak periods.
