Writing curriculum boosts Indiana school's test scores

An Avon, Ind., school that has put an emphasis on writing had 83% of its fifth- and sixth-graders pass the state's standardized test. The writing curriculum helps children better organize their thoughts, improve vocabulary, spelling and grammar, as well as fluency.
