Self-employed may see tax increase because of new mileage rate

The new, lower mileage-reimbursement rate may benefit some small businesses more than others, according to Andrew Markowski of NFIB/Connecticut. "From the small business perspective, particularly those who are self-employed, they can actually see a noticeable tax increase," he said. "But for any business, small or large, anyone who uses their vehicles and who drives a lot, they could see a noticeable difference."
