Army building in North Carolina focuses on sustainability

The new headquarters for the Forces Command and U.S. Army Reserve Command in Fort Bragg, N.C., is aiming to achieve LEED silver certification, the largest project in the state that will do so. The 600,000-square-foot facility, valued at $302 million, highlights recycled building material, energy-efficient features and a white reflective surface on its roof that will cool the building during the summer.
