Some websites fail to identify airlines, officials say

Officials said that some travel websites are failing to identify which airline is operating which flight when selling airline tickets, a violation of federal law. For example, offered tickets on a Continental Airlines flight between Buffalo, N.Y., and Newark, N.J., without mentioning that Colgan Air was operating the flight. An analysis of the top 10 travel websites found that CheapOair and other sites were in violation of the law.
