Was Amazon's WikiLeaks decision a bad move for the cloud?

Amazon.com's decision to pull WikiLeaks from its cloud server in the wake of the site's distribution of U.S. government documents could potentially undermine the credibility of cloud computing, according to Dr. Joseph Reger, technology chief at Fujitsu Technology Solutions. Reger says the industry needs to develop industrywide protocol for managing service-level agreements that, in the end, protect clients from their own providers. Others say the Amazon/WikiLeaks situation highlights the need for strong business-continuity plans, including the ability to quickly change cloud providers.
