Experts note increased diabetes rates among Hispanics

Diabetes appears to be more prevalent on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border and some experts say it has reached alarming levels among Hispanics. A report by the Arizona Department of Health Services showed that about 13.5% of Hispanics in Yuma County, Arizona, were diagnosed with diabetes in 2010, the highest rate in the state.
