Lymphosarcoma vaccine trial is ongoing in Colorado

The Veterinary Referral Center of Colorado is conducting a clinical trial in which researchers create a vaccine for dogs with lymphosarcoma from the dog's lymph nodes and use it to treat the dog in conjunction with standard chemotherapy. Early results are encouraging, but the trial is still under way and VRCC veterinary oncologist Robyn Elmslie hopes the findings may one day help humans suffering from lymphoma.
