Micron to add SSDs for tablets, ultrabooks

Micron Technology is approaching ultrabook manufacturers in Taiwan about using a new mini-SATA solid-state drive the company will offer next year. To support the SSD introduction, the chipmaker plans to boost production at its wafer fabrication plant in Singapore by 60%, adding a 20-nanometer process to the fab in 2012.
