Technology enables students to see the world from their classroom

Ohio middle-school teacher Dan Jones uses Skype and green-screen technology to help students experience other locations around the world without leaving the classroom. Jones uses the program Yoostar to insert students' images into far-off locations on a computer screen, while Skype gives students real-time access to historical sites. "It's an active way of learning," eighth-grade student Phineas Stanfield said.
