Why CSS developers have a need for speed

It's all too easy for a website's CSS to devolve into a stodgy, overcomplicated mess that makes the site less responsive for users. One way to avoid that is to use object-oriented CSS, in which nuggets of code are abstracted into modules that can be reused over and over. That allows less code to be used in total, and permits more elegant and responsive designs.
