American Airlines union meets with AMR CEO, backs merger

The Allied Pilots Association on Thursday met with AMR CEO Tom Horton, who made the case to keep American Airlines a standalone company. However the union believes that it is better for pilots and the company as a whole if American Airlines merges with US Airways. The union has invited US Airways CEO Doug Parker and President Scott Kirby to a meeting next week.
