More evidence on value of mHealth is needed, NIH official says

The lack of clinical studies linking the use of mobile health solutions or services to better outcomes is preventing industry acceptance of the technology, NIH Director Dr. Francis Collins said during the recent 2012 mHealth Summit. To prove that mHealth is enhancing patient care, Collins recommended building an EMR-based national research network that connects the scientific community to a database of real-time information.
