Pakistan and Afghanistan move forward with Taliban peace effort

Afghan and Pakistani officials are moving forward with an Afghan government plan to reach a peace agreement with the Taliban as international forces leave the country. The plan calls for Pakistan, not the U.S., to broker a cease-fire and set up talks between the two sides to identify ways to end the insurgency.
