AOL's new makeover includes new browser

AOL's transformation from a gated content community to a Web-based network will be aided by a new browser, based mostly on Microsoft's Internet Explorer, which will allow subscribers to access most AOL features -- even on workplace computers that do not permit downloads. The browser will be fitted with links and hooks designed to lure eyeballs to AOL's content and advertising.
